After retirement, Obadiah devoted his energy and time in service to Shiloh Baptist Church of Orlando. He was elected a trustee in the church, assisting with church finances, and was ordained a Deacon on October 31, 2004. Obadiah was also a faithful member of the Shiloh Men’s Ministry and the Men’s Choir, and was active with the Shiloh Brotherhood. He worked with Shiloh’s Parking ventures, and dedicated his time to Shiloh’s Answered Prayer Food Pantry. Obadiah was also a member of the Tuskegee Alumni Association, Central Florida Chapter.
